I have tried taking hyroxychloruquine and methrotrexate but methrotrexate did not agree with me as it effected my kidneys. My rheumatologist then switched me to hyroxychloruquine and leflumonide. I was on methotrexate for years and noticed small amounts of hair loss but then last spring while washing my hair, it was falling out as I rinsed my hair. Huge clumps of hair. It was terrifying. Saw my dr and stopped taking the methotrexate. I’m not losing my hair anymore. I took collagen for hair growth and it helped.
I think people react different to infusions and pills, but you would have to try it out.

I have taken hydroxycloriquine since 2016. It slowed my progression of the disease but over a year ago my hair has gotten thinner and thinner. My rheumatologist has said he'll take me off of it as soon as we find another med that helps. Soon to start infusion for Renflexis, before I had pills or shots on quite a few other meds. I will let you know how it is when I start it. Probably not until July.
