Took me over 2 years to figure it out only to find out the drug that finally worked gave me cancer. So I'm being treated for cancer and a drug that also works with RA to put me in remission. So far after 2 treatments I'm doing well. Wish they could find something safe.
Has taken years for me did well on cortisone but couldn't stay on it. I'm now on embrel 2nd biologic I'm trying. Can feel a definite improvement. I take it with the methotrexate

Did the Vectra test help figure out the right medication to take?
I would say yes to a test that would shorten the time and sickness and new illnesses from trying each new med.
Our RA doctor said NO to Prism since Pfizer has a vested interest. He is more than willing to do the Vectra DX test. Blood work next week. First Vectra DX says inflammation is way down (29). Yes, Cimzia can stop working. Will cross that bridge when we come to it.
It took me a while to find a medication that did not cause so many intolerable side effects. I dislike the trial-and-error process many of us go through to find a medication that works. We wait weeks in pain to see if the medication works. Then, we report our side effects to our Rheumatologist and move on to another medication that may or may not work. I feel with science/technology and medical advances we should have a better process of finding the right medication. For me it is a yes, I would request this Prism RA test.
