I am on Methotrexate and I still hurt in my hands and my whole body is even hurting more. I would like to try a natural alternative to ease the pain and I have been reading about CBD. Just curious if anyone has success with that.
How long have you been on Meth? I know after it lost its effectiveness for me in a year my toes were disrupting life for me. My rheumatologist also had me on folic acid at that moment. We determined that a TNF blocking agent was needed. After hearing the options from my rheumatologist, I said I would try Humira (with the discount card). Wait, what?! Less than 60 minutes after my first injection I was walking without pain!!!
Anyways, make sure people know Meth is not enough. I was not aware of what could be tried.
I take supplements like vitamin D and CoQ10 to help prevent issues. Keep posting updates on your progress.
Good luck and take care!
I have never used CBD but I do take Tumeric w/curcumin and I can tell a difference if I quit taking it..
I take 100mg of chewable tablets once a day and it does take the edge off.
CBD definitely helps with inflammation. I like the lotion for my joints/body. Plus, the tincture or oil are good. I used to use medical marijuana, when I lived in NY, which is CBD and THC and it worked especially for sleep. I live SC now and can't get it. They do have CBD and some other hemp products here, though. The biggest downfall is the cost. Insurances won't cover any of this so it can be costly. The only way to know is to try it!
