Could you? What's your thoughts on this?

Research shows SUGAR causes the body to release pro-inflammatory proteins called Cytokines.
Cytokine levels are already high when you have inflammatory arthritis; that chronic inflammation is what causes pain, swelling, and stiffness in your joints.

Members weighed in on whether cutting sugar could help with rheumatoid arthritis, and many shared personal experiences of feeling less pain, swelling, and stiffness after reducing their intake. Several members noted that everyone responds differently, with some seeing clear improvements after cutting sugar and refined carbs, while others noticed belly fat loss but no change in RA symptoms. A recurring theme was the importance of self-awareness, moderation, and not being too hard on yourself when you slip up, with many also pointing to stress, weather, and processed foods as additional triggers.

Sugar (and salt) is evil on so many levels (diabetes, rotting teeth, RA inflammation, weight gain, etc.), but my tongue still enjoys it. Moderation is the key. Try counting all the sugar you consume during a week, and you'll be shocked how it slips into much of what you eat, especially if you eat processed foods. The few people I know who have nearly abstained from eating sugar say they don't like the taste of sugar when forced to eat it again. I say nearly because you can't avoid it completely unless you're a monk eating carboard and drinking water. And there is something to say about the quality of life. Will a donut hole on your birthday shorten your life and cause heart-breaking pain? Probably not but eating a 1/2 gallon of Extreme Moose Tracks ice cream probably will. And remember, different people are different. A teaspoon of sugar in one person's morning coffee (Rick raises his arm) may be entirely too much for another person and cause a terrible reaction. Know thyself.

I've cut out sugar.
I do notice my flares are more related to the weather humidity rain (chilly humid or really hot is the worst).
Even fruits and vegetables can cause flares for me. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ I suppose everyone is different.
I pray everyone has a good day.

Ok, Guys and Girls,
I get it, you try a diet that works....stress, boredom, life happens...you quit then it doesn't work any more now you are in PAIN!!! Motivation, NO PAIN!!! We are all going to feel good, have a lapse and have to get up and get with it again... there is no magic here. We all have to find what works for us, think twice before falling off the wagon, decide is the indulgence worth the price and if so do it once..then behave!
I just did it yesterday, not with food, but with excercise. I got a new pedal device and over did, because I used to be able to ride a bike for long periods...LOL, notice the words "used to"...well I'll tell you the pain was real today. It won't stop me, but serves as a reminder...baby steps...don't beat yourself up, just slow down and try again.
I Love you all, we just need to Love ourselves a little more! We can do this, really, I promise!!!
