I feel like I have a lump in my throat that makes it difficult to swallow. Mine has come with some stomach issues (not GERD or reflux) so I am not sure if they are similar to yours.

Was there any way they made a definitive diagnosis or treated thus? Thank You!

Much more rarely, RA can attack joints in the larynx, or voice box, and cause hoarseness, pain during swallowing or talking, a feeling of having something stuck in your throat, lowering of the voice or shortness of breath. Several decades ago, RA-related larynx problems were more common. Mine felt like I swallowed a hard candy and it was stuck in my throat. I also get hoarseness, occasionally feel like I cannot swallow and some shortness of breath.
