Members shared widespread experiences with bones protruding on the tops or sides of their feet, with many initially dismissing the issue until it became painful or interfered with wearing shoes. Several members received different diagnoses from their doctors, including bone spurs, rheumatoid nodules, stress fractures, metatarsal issues, and osteoporosis, with treatments ranging from steroid injections and custom orthotics to surgical removal or shaving down of bone growths. A recurring theme was the strong recommendation to see a podiatrist as soon as possible rather than waiting, as early intervention can prevent serious complications like fractures, non-unions, or progressive bone deterioration that several members experienced after delaying care.

You're not alone! My right foot has a huge bone that is swollen and very painful. I've had to even order new wide shoes to accommodate the darn thing. Please let us know what your MRI shows and what they recommend you do for relief - I'm very interested in the answer to this one. Thanks and feel better! Easier said than done, huh?

I have it on both feet. Pretty painful. MRI scheduled for next week. Let’s see what a cluster this will turn into.
