Prism identifies people who will probably not respond to TNF inhibitor drugs. Vectra measures whether treatment is working. Pleas google trustworthy sites like Pub Med, American College of rheumatology, etc. to learn about RA.
Hi Regina, glad you asked these questions. Wow, interesting about the PRISM test. Pfizer coming out with a new Non-TNF, good. My appointment went well today. My RA doctor didn't think the PRISM test was right for me at this time, but I will have the VECTRA-DA test at LabCor, I pray the results will come back favorably. Furthermore I am lucky that Medicare will pay for this test. I am so glad that your husband is recovering well from COVID-19. Thanks for your information about Pavloxid if I contact this terrible virus, so far so good. I have learned a lot from you and this website.
We spoke with the RA doctor today. He said that he would NOT do the PRISM test since "there is a conflict of interest for Pfizer who developed the test. Pfizer is coming out with or has come out with a new NON-TNF medication". He is, however, doing a SED test and told me that "sure, he would add the VECTRA DA test which Metpath does but NOT Quest" Two weeks to get the results. He is back on a monthly doe of the Cimzia since he lost 2 weeks due to Covid. Quick recovery due to Pavloxid for 5 days. If you get Covid, talk to your doctor to see if it is right for you.
Thanks you too.
Thanks for this information. I will keep this sites in mind.
