Hey Alex4. I was diagnosed at 14 years old. I have lost count of the amount of times people have told me 'you're too young to have arthritis'! Then I explain to them the difference between RA and osteoarthritis. So many people don't know the difference between osteoarthritis and autoimmune arthritis. They hear the word arthritis and automatically think it is an older person's illness. Hope you are travelling well and are on the right medication to help with the pain and inflammation.

Humira experience... my Methotrexate + Folic Acid Rx was not enough after 18 months, my rheumatologist was having 4 month checkups on me in the office, it was seen that my features in the problem spots were not very well. I needed another option. Either Humira or Enbrel were the options to use according to my specialist, both are injections, immunosuppressant therapy options.

After getting vaccinations for things I took my first Humira, my feet hurt to walk on because of RA that day. I recall injecting the Humira in my thigh by pinching skin and using the injection pen on that area of raised skin; then I used a disposable alcohol wipe, put a bandaid over the area, and laid down on my back in bed. I set a timer for 30 minutes on my phone and relaxed with pain in my feet.
