Hi everybody! I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at a year old. Just last week, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Anyone have this same problem and what treatment(s) are you currently on? Right now, I am on a titrating dose of Gabapentin (Neurontin) and will follow back up with Pain Management in 4 weeks to talk about adding additional medication(s).

Hi! I am also a JRA gal! But I was 13 when I was diagnosed. Within a year or two I started experiencing fibromyalgia as well. Lyrica has been a huge help to me and medical cannabis. I have found a good 1:1 THC to CBD lotion that I love! I am also on Actemra and diclofenac. This cocktail and being active everyday has made a world of difference in my life!

When I start getting awful sharp stabbing pains in my feet, getting out a trigger point ball and breaking up some of the fascia in my feet is a huge help. Trigger point balls can be super painful with fibro but afterwards I always feel better than before.

Hi. I have been on the Gabapentin, since the end of August when I developed shingles, which was prescribed for the nerve pain. I currently am on 2400mg (800mg in the morning, 800mg at lunch, and then 800mg at bedtime). I really don't feel any relief in my symptoms. I was referred to a Pain Management doctor, who I did see on 11/14/22, and I follow up wit him again on 12/5/22. Are you only on the Gabapentin?

I wasn't diagnosed as a child, but I have RA and fibromyalgia. The Gabapentin is working for me most of the time. 300mg three times a day. I usually only take two a day. So far, this has been fine for the last three years

Hi! I did a 3 week course of Prednisone without any relief of my symptoms and then I finished a 3 week course of Medrol again without any relief of my symptoms. My Rheumatologist thinks I had Fibromyalgia for probably a year now and the fall/developing shingles at the end of August, which flared my JRA, likely made the Fibromyalgia come to fruition! Ugh!! I am trying to read articles on RA and Fibromyalgia at this time. I totally understand how you are trying to manage! I'm having a rough time, as well! Hopefully we'll both get relief soon!
