Thank you so much for your help😊
Interestingly enough I don’t know anyone with RA so it’s nice to chat with someone that understands. It all still feels very new to me.

I am 58 and before I was diagnosed I would laugh at the stiffness as I just thought it was old age. I was sent to a rhumetologist because I have rosacea ( they thought might be lupus) . It wasn’t but it is RA.

Anyway the meds have been helping with that. I was just taken off the prednisone and haven’t had a few good days so not sure where Dr will go now.

What do you suggest for pain and stiffness?

I find that fatigue is my worst symptom, as well. I haven't found the right combination of things yet. I am 69 y/o and I've been raising my two youngest grandchildren for over 6 years (my husband helps a lot). So I'm tired all the time.

The best ways to help are to establish a routine and try to stick with it. If you need to include a nap, then do it. Another helpful "thing" is don't over exert yourself. It was really hard for me coming to terms with having limitations, after having an active life. Diet can help; for example, sugar and carbs will make you tired and red meat can cause inflammation. Talk to your RA doctor about what to eat and what to stay away from. That's all I know to do. Unfortunately, there isn't a magic pill for fatigue.

There are a few things you can do for pain and stiffness. What are you doing for the pain and stiffness?

Thank you for asking 😊
My biggest complaint is fatigue…. Otherwise I’m never to sure if my sore and stiff body parts are age or RA. I guess it becomes easier to tell with time.
Hope you’re having a great day!

Hi Leslie. I've had RA for 11 years. Do you have any questions about RA?
