Thank you for your responses
I also have Sjorgren's syndrome along with RA. It causes my mouth to be dry & causes problems with my teeth. Meds can also add to dry mouth.
Dental issues are high on the list with RA. Diseased gums (periodontal disease) is a primary issue with tooth damage. Fibromyalgia is one of my conditions, so yes; chronic pain and inflammation are problems. Medications, exercise, rest and diet have to be used in order to lessen those symptoms. I've been an avid reader of all the valuable information now available online. Best of luck to you!
Hello. Im from Eagle, Idaho. I’m not sure whether RA affects teeth or not. However i know my teeth have been affected by something in the last 2-3 years. Thousands of dollars worth of dental bills. I guess since my bones are deteriating my teeth and jaw bone could certainly be affected as well. I’m interested in other’s thoughts. I also have had fibromyalgia for 26+ years. There is a lot of chronic pain and inflamation with both so i, nor my doctor, can tell which one may be causing my teeth to deteriate. Anyone else? Thanks.
