What kinds of exercise are you doing to keep active? Is there such a thing as too much exercise? I love step class, Body Pump, Zumba and my arc trainer. Stopping these things would destroy me.

Members shared their experiences with RA affecting the hips and knees, with many emphasizing that RA is a systemic autoimmune disease that can impact joints throughout the body rather than being isolated to specific areas. Several members strongly recommended working with a qualified rheumatologist and physical therapist who understands the importance of exercise, with specific suggestions including aquatic therapy to reduce joint pressure, gentle stretching routines, pain management referrals, and strategic cortisone injections to maintain mobility. A recurring theme was finding the delicate balance between staying active and not overdoing it, with members mourning the loss of high-impact activities like Zumba and step classes while celebrating victories like hip replacements and discovering lower-impact alternatives that allow them to keep moving despite the pain.

I would think you would have RA, and that it is also in your hips and knees. That is how RA works. I have it everywhere, but most severe in my hands, knees, feet and now it exacerbates my lower back OA.

I don't get hip/knee RA. RA is an autoimmune disease that can affect the whole body, including joints and lungs and a few things in between. Please clue me in. You need expert advice and help from a qualified rheumatologist

Yes there's to much exercise, you can hurt, your joints. Physical therapist only
work with you for an hour, they will not let you over do it. Take it easy, give your joints a break, don't hurt yourself.
