My grandmother has RA & my great-grandmother has Crohn's disease & I now have both. Yes it is hereditary.
Can you imagine the suffering before RA meds, my goodness, i feel bad for the ones before us, they really suffered 😢
Its hard to know for sure if a older generation had it unless your family tells you, i didn't grow up knowing my great uncle, but my family is big on that side and i connected with cousins who knew and told me when i asked
No. Not my siblings, parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents, nor any of my many Great Aunts/Uncles, cousins or any of my extended family.
No one in my family had it although my father had type1 diabetes. I often wonder if it was because I both my parents and their friends smoked and I was around them a lot, I eat healthy and don’t smoke.
