Plaquenil / cold sores and canker sores?

I've been taking Plaquenil for 5 months, and it's been a God-send.
But I have noticed almost constant canker sores and cold sores for the past 4 months.
I'm seeing my rheumatologist in a couple of weeks, but until then I am curious whether that's common.
Has anyine else had this happen?

Definitely ask your doc about Folic Acid as it truly helps with sores and also helps energy levels for me.

I’m on Methyltrexate, plaquenil and Orencia
I developed several canker sores as well, they had ne stop methyltrexate and increase Folic Acid to 2 mg daily
Healed very quick after

My rheumatologist mentioned that was a side effect and recommended folic acid too today.
