RA is on the list for SS disability. You have to fill out the paperwork to see if you qualify. It takes at least 5 months (not working) to get benefits if you are approved. The first check is retro active from the date you filed. You also don't get medical insurance right away. I think its 24 months if you are still on disability. Good luck.

I have RA throughout my body but hands wrist fingers are the worse. Been on so many medications I lost count.
