Covid Shot

I’m scared to get the Covid shot but scared not to get it . I’ve on the fence about it . Can anyone other than a doctor give me advice ? Please and thank you

Get it! Unless your doctor tells you not to. The patients I care for in the emergency room that have covid pneumonia are almost always unvacvinated. The vaccine does a pretty good job of making sure that if you get covid, you will not be terribly ill. Protection. At a very small price.

I was hesitant to get the Covid vaccine also - I really did not want to go into a flare! In the end, I figured I was more concerned about dying from covid, so got both Moderna shots and also just got the booster. I had a very slight flare after the 1st shot - just a little swelling in my hands and more tired than usual. Had no reaction at all to the 2nd shot or the booster. I'm really glad I got vaccinated, as it makes me feel more comfortable going places - although I still wear a mask also.

Since I was a kid (1950's) we have gotten shots for various diseases like Polio, Measles, and the list goes on. Never had a problem with any of them. I get the annual flu shot which helps and is not a guarantee. These Covid shots are not a guarantee, but help keep me alive and hopefully from infecting anyone else.

I have had three total as well, all Pfizers. The first one I had a very slight temp elevation, but that's nothing unusual, as I've become accustomed to those since getting RA. The second and last one, though, I've had no issues. If I had to do it all over again, I'd be one of the first in line!
My sister and her husband are/were retired pharmacists. Her brother-in-law and his wife both refused to get the jabs. They died in separate hospitals, alone, leaving one son alone, apart from them forever. Please, love yourself, love your loved ones, and get yourself protected. Life's beautiful, and we have so much yet to discover and experience in this huge world!

I have had 2 shots, the booster, and a flu shot. My RA doctor highly recommended it. I take Xeljanz XR. So I need to be especially careful about not getting Covid. Please get the vaccines and save yourself a lot of worries. Be safe. Be careful. Wear your 😷.
