I will be retiring a year from now and joining Medicare. I'm trying to get all of my ducks in a row (so to speak) with what I'll need for my health care coverage. I'm going with traditional and will be getting a supplement plan and a Part D plan. I read today that Medicare Part B covers diagnostic testing at 100% after its annual deductible has been met. That would be nice.
Thanks for providing your experience with this HeyJude53.
All I can say is I’ve never paid for my blood work !!
Thanks for the info HeyJude53. It's a bit murky as to whether or not blood screening is included 100% for chronic conditions with Part B or is 20% co-insurance which would be covered in full by a G plan but not a high deductible G plan that I'm considering. I'm fairly sure that the Medicare approved rate for a blood draw and tests is reasonable so 20% of that would be affordable.
I am on Medicare , plan G !!! With Aetna as my secondary.
I’ve never had to pay for my blood work!! I was told the “Advantage “ plans are. Basically for people who are pretty healthy.
I sadly am not. I went thru cancer, have neuropathy , fibromyalgia, arthritis , and a list! But I have been very happy as most bills have been covered .
