Hi all,
I have been handling my RA holistically as I am only 28 and was afraid of pharmaceutical. My rheumatologist and functional medicine doctor both prescribed me plaquenil. Has anyone had expirenced with this drug? Also has anyone expirence moving to a different climate and finding there ra is better? I live in PA and am in a flare and don’t know if it’s from the weather and if moving would benefit me. Thank you!
I can tell the weather better than the weather man from my RA. 😉 When a major storm comes I flare up.
Mary
Thank you for the advice and kind words. Do you mind me asking what you do for your RA?
I have taken Plaquenil for many years. It has been very effective and no apparent side effects. Rarely it can cause retina damage. Get your eyes checked annually;
I've been taking Plaquenil for a couple of months, and I feel great! No side effects, and the constant fatigue and fevers are 90% gone. I can make a fist for the first time in years. I live in Dallas so I'm not sure about the weather. Diet (low sugar, low carb, low dairy) definitely helps. Good luck!
Methotrexate injections, Remicade, Predisone, Mobic and more! Supplements, ice diet etc. you can see my meds on my story! Good luck stay strong!
