Medication Question

I want to know if Methotrexate is helping any of you. Does it relieve your inflammation to ease your pain? Just on Methotrexate alone, not with another Med.
Thank you so much.

Members shared mixed experiences with methotrexate as a standalone treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, with some finding complete relief when combined with lifestyle changes like eliminating sugar and taking turmeric supplements, while others experienced little to no improvement and needed to add biologics like Humira, Hadlima, or Remicade to their regimen. Several members noted that switching from oral methotrexate pills to injectable forms like Rasuvo made a significant difference in effectiveness and reduced side effects like nausea and stomach pain. A recurring theme was the importance of pairing methotrexate with folic acid, monitoring liver function regularly, and recognizing that every person responds differently to treatment, requiring patience and willingness to adjust medications until finding the right combination.

I am on 30 mg but the injection-able Rasuvo it’s working much better than the pills! I also take Remicade(infusion) prednisone(5-20 mg and Mobic! This combination has helped me!

Hello. Sorry I should have mentioned that I take 5MG of Folic acid two days before the metho. Apparently it helps me to absorb the metho. Best wishes. Lynne
