Getting Ready To Start Humaira , What Should Expect ?

Getting Ready To Start Humaira , What Should Expect ?

I'm nervous to take it ..

I tried Humira it didn't work for me. I have tried quite a few and I am now on Orencia with Methotrexate which has helped. Everyone is different. It is not fun having to inject your self and for me I get different symptoms as it will for you. It takes at least 3 months to see if it works or not unless you really are getting bad side effects. Give it some time and keep in constant contact with your Specialist. I know it sucks but we are all here with you.

I have had 3 injections so far, and I felt like you at 1st, nervous. I can't offer any advise yet, at least not positive, but I pray it goes well. After trying many meds that don't work, I figured why not try Humira.

Been on Humira for almost 9 months now. I have had no reactions. Nervous at first giving myself a shot- now it’s nothing. I will say I had to go off of it for a month due to a lung infection and it was then I knew that Humira was helping me. I had a rough few weeks until I could get it back in my system. I know it works differently for everyone. Pray it works for you. 😊

Everyone reacts differently to medications and some don't have any bad reactions at all. Hope everything works out for you Melissa. Please keep us posted. 😊

Hi Melissa, I personally can't take it due to underlying health reasons, but I heard it works well for some and others have adverse reactions. My advice is talk to your Dr and ask any and all questions about the side effects. As with any new medication, pay attention to your body and of you notice any change, report it right away. Good luck to you.
