My doctor ordered my RA Factor test... I tested 58.2, I saw the Rheumatologist the same week, he started me on prednisone, folic Acid, and a weekly injection of Methotrexate....
My Ra factor was 70. I was in a lot of pain, now on enbrel, it helps.
I just learned that I have RA. My hands are very sore. I have an appointment in Dec. What should I expect? My husband doesn't take this seriously.
do as much research about your symptoms as possible. then ask questions. my rheumatologist is a great guy. always calls back and has a sympathetic ear. My only problem was that learning that I had RA was a shock. I knew I had arthritis but it never occurred to me that it was more than that. I've been taking hydrochloroquinine for years with the express desired results of not getting worse. I had no idea what I was in for and I paid a little attention to this annoying arthritis thing that I had. But when he told me that I had already I didn't say anything I just shook my head, said OK and left. I'm not a youngster I should have known better put it in asking the thing. My next appointment I said what does it mean to me that I have RA? Then he started giving me information but at every turn as helpful as he IS, I always have to ask him what's next ?what else where can we go from here ,is there any help. So the most helpful thing I can tell you from my point of you is no a little on your own educate yourself and ask questions ask questions ask questions because no one is your champion like you are. Good luck I hope you feel better there are a lot of remedies out there just takes a few tries to find the right one see you
