That is a good question. My doctor prescribed Tylenol 3 for my pain. Trouble with that is after a while it doesn't work.

I don't agree . That can have side effect with stomach so a pill for that has to be taken my surgeon has told me not to take those
I take oramorph 10mg every 4 hrs but everyone different.

Naproxen is a good one

Actually aspirin is the original anti inflammatory. It works, but hard on stomach. Then there are prescription NSAIDS (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs). Prednisone (steroid) powerful, but many side effects. Sometimes we need it though. Consult your doctor.
