Peripheral neuropathy is very common with RA and can drive you completely bonkers. I've taken Lyrica for twenty years. It works well for me.

I have never had a burning scalp but i suppose its just like any part of our bodies fingers,and toes can tingle and burn so why not your scalp i would ask your rheumatologist about it and see what they say

I'm also new to this site. My tongue has felt like I've burned it for over 3 years now but I was only recently diagnosed with ra and so I've wondered if this is a symptom of RA. I've had scalp tenderness but not burning. Like when poke on certain places it would hurt a lot but it would only last like a day near my menstrual cycle...

Thanks Pat for the info,I also get them all the time it’s not just one but a few at a time from the tip of my tongue to the back of my mouth and the ones at the side of the tongue catch my teeth very painful.xx

Hi den I use either medigel or ambusol liquid on mine that seems to help but they take ages to go and i just get rid of one and another appears don't think our bodies can deal with fighting two things at the same time so one gets worse either the ulcers or the Ra I would talk to your doctor just in case its neuralgia and nothing to do with your Ra my dad suffered with that for years and had the same symptoms as you have ATM and he didn't have Ra hope this has helped
