I have had my right and my left knee done I could walk again I was in severe pain before this is much better since I've had my knees done but now my hip has gone and my shoulders too hip pain is is very painful it was probably the same of my knees but I forgot how bad it was physiotherapy afterwards very important you must do it to regain your your movements physio and made a very good recovery
I also have hasd both of my knees replaced, first the right knee and then two years later the left knee. Make sure you excercise it, it is vital, otherwise you will form scare tissue and not be able to bend the knee properly. It is only really painful for a couple of weeks, then every day is a little better. Good luck to you.
I have had both knees done. It's good to get it in your head that you are going to do the therapy. The therapy is hard, but it's the only way to walk normally after your replacement. Ice was my friend for both replacements! Don't be afraid to take your pain medication, especially about an hour before therapy treatments! You will be so happy when you can walk on your knee and have stability! I wish you only good things!
It depends how debilitating the RA is and if you have other medical conditions. And age makes a difference. The younger you are, the harder it is.
Is it hard to get SSDI with RA?
