I don’t know what it is about chronic disease that makes peoples skin on there hands crack so bad in the winter?
I carry those little tubes a Vaseline that you can buy at most stores at the checkout.
Every time I wash my hands, I squirt a bead of Vaseline on my thumb and rub the Vaseline over the top of every finger around the fingernail and then rub my hands like I’m washing them with the remaining Vaseline.
My hands have never cracked since over the last 20 years.

Yes I'm having that extremely dry skin aside .My toes are also dry and cracking open .My mouth is so dry at times I have trouble swallowing .You are not alone 😜

If you are taking multiple meds, that can cause dry mouth. There are mouth washes for that, check with your pharmacist. They do help.
