Whatever you do get Medicare Part D now. If you don’t it will cost substantially more in the future. Supplemental insurance usually covers most of what Medicare doesn’t. Medicare pays first, then whatever else insurance you choose kicks in.

Very good advice. We have friends who chose to not take the extra coverage when they were first eligible. They now pay more for that coverage. It is significantly more.

I think that you have to get another health insurance to pay for your drug's like bluecross blueshield, are Humana it will cost you more but then I think that you will be able to get the five dollar card again good luck to you and let me know what happens

This all varies by the specific medication. When my rheumy was talking about putting me on Humira, it was going to cost me $2,000 per month out of pocket. If I did not have Medicare it was going to be about $5 per month. Since I have medical coverage, the company would not give me the script card that others could receive. I don't know about any other meds except Methotrexate, which costs me nothing until the Medigap hit. Then, it was going to be $200 per month. I checked with GoodRX and it was about $20 per month, much better. Just check all resources available. Good luck with getting this figured out.
