I’m looking any advice for pain relief. I would like to find something that works fairly quick. I don’t sleep well because of joint pain and I’m really feeling the sleep deprivation!!

Members rallied around someone struggling with joint pain that disrupts sleep, with many emphasizing the importance of speaking with a rheumatologist about adjusting disease-modifying medications rather than relying solely on over-the-counter pain relievers. Several members shared personal strategies that have helped them, including low-dose ibuprofen combined with hot showers and naps, CBD oil with sleep-supporting ingredients like L-tryptophan and valerian, and prescription medications like Plaquenil and Remicade for underlying inflammation. A recurring theme was that pain relief is highly individual, requiring patience to find the right combination, and that quality sleep is essential enough to warrant trying multiple approaches from melatonin and bedtime routines to prescription sleep aids if needed.

I would recommend trying CBD. It has made a world of difference to my sleep.

I don't know if you have tried CBD oil, and as for myself, even though I take it I am still undecided. That said, I do like Tommy Chong's night time version of CBD, which contains L-tryptophan and a bit of valerian. It helps me sleep.

Hi AlyssaDawn22, sorry to hear that you are having so much pain. I only take one Advil per day and it works well for me and even helps my fatigue. I also take a hot shower each day and a power nap. Hope that you feel better soon.

Pain relief is so individualized. It was suggested to me to try OTC'S: Melatonin taken regularly can help set your sleep cycle & you can add the others to it. Start at lower doses, start with one, monitor results, add another in 5-7 days & monitor. Try sleepytime tea, have a routine bedtime. If not working, Lopidem prescription is not a sleeping pill but also helps reset your sleep cycle. Try for at least a week if provider goes this way. If still not sleeping, push your provider for something else. You must get regular sleep. Ppl die from lack of sleep & repercussions.
Prayers & hugs. Let us know.
