I Don't Understand The Rash I Get With Methotrexate?

I Don't Understand The Rash I Get With Methotrexate?

I understand that methotrexate and sunlight don't mix, but can I get a rash because of just normal daylight? My chest erupts in almost a papular-like rash on even the cloudiest day. I also get the sensation of sunburn on my forearms but less often a rash. I would like to hear if anyone has similar experiences please.

I absolutely have it but I have no idea why or what might help it... It's nice to hear that someone else is experiencing this... God Bless

Is anyone having severe itching all over your body? I have episodes of itching that comes and goes. Usually happens at night and goes from the top of my head to the tip of my toes. I take 6 tablets of benadryl every night to help me sleep, and still have the itching. Can anyone give me some advice on what could possibly help give me some relief. 🙏🧡

I’m currently seeing an allergist for this as my arms have been itching like crazy. No rash just itchy. Occasionally it moves or expands I should say. I’m currently taking Pepcid 20mg am and pm as it’s a histamine blocker, Allegra 2xs day. He has also prescribed hydroxyzine in the evenings for when the itching becomes to bad bc at first it was just at night but now it’s all the time. I use all sensitive skin stuff (even recently switched my deodorant to Degree odor protect- green container. It is free of alcohol and aluminum ). It seems to help some. All allergy blood work came back normal. Waiting on a new thyroid panel, AMA, and mitochondrial tests to come back. I’m also keeping a Food journal as some people on my RA Facebook groups think it could be celiac disease.
Really thinking it’s either RA related or I have heard Lupus and Fibromyalgia can cause itching as well.

I suffer from the same , it attacks in different areas of my body but it happens a lot on the top of my hands. Benadryl is all I can do.
