How do you handle pain in your knees and wanting to sport and work out? Numb the body with medicine?
Stretching helps a lot in warm water, thank you Cindy.
And sometimes taking medicine prevents the joints from giving too much pain(thank you Abby safer)
I had to have my knees replaced. I was bone on bone with 2 torn meniscus. I wear amazing running sneakers and do more of a shuffle run. I don't jump rope or kneel. Totally worth it. Walking is fine. I often carry light weights and exercise my arms while walking. But if it's a pain issue, physical therapy said take a pill before therapy. So id day before exercise. But be careful it doesn't make you tired or make you dizzy.
If you can get in the water you can exercise you can stretch A nice heated pool it will make you feel soooooo good
I would not push thru the pain thats for sure. Before i was diagnosed my knees used to kill me and i would push thru the pain.. And i think this is why my knees are my worst areas and the synovial fluid is pretty much all gone. If you are in pain i would find things to do that either help or work other areas where there is no pain
