Has anyone's rheumatologist suggested Rinvoq? I just saw my doctor last week and he mentioned this new drug that was just approved this year. He said I'd be an excellent canddiate (it's a JAK inhibitor, and TNF blockers don't work on me).
Anyone out there trying it out, or at least looking into it?
I have been taking for 3 months. Finally seeing results. I have been on so many different drugs I am hopeful this works.
@A myRAteam Member I’ve tried tripe therapy (sulfasalazine, plaquinel, methotrexate), Humira, Orencia, Remicade, and Xeljanz. Ive stayed on triplw therapy the entire time, while adding on the others one at a time. Im relativly newly diagosed (5 years), so im still on the hunt for what’ll work for me.
Im hoping i could try the rinvoq and then if things go sideways i could always stop 🤷🏻♀️
I started on Rinvoq last month after my diagnosis. I saw results in the first week. I am amazed at how well this medicine is working for me. I have not felt this good in a lot of years. I have been on a lot of different medicine that hardly made a dent in my joint pain. I was recently having a severe flare that made it hard to even stand up, my hip had a lot of pain. I am near pain free now, just some morning pain in my hands when I wake up.
I was just approved for it and I’m praying that it works. The side affects scare me tho. I’m tired of the pain, I was on Methotrexate it didn’t work for me. I wish I knew someone who’s been taking this new drug.
My doctor just prescribed Rinvoq for me a few days ago. Maxed out on methotrexate dose and still not much improvement so he's hoping this will work. I haven't tried any other biologics; was just diagnosed 6 months ago. Hoping for the best and said I should see an improvement within a few weeks if it's going to work for me:)
