Anyone Else Have Tingling Feet Sometimes?

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
Virginia Beach, VA

I’ve been having an annoying sensation of tingling in my feet off and on since being diagnosed in April. They feel like they’re going to go numb but never quite do. Is this part of RA disease or could it be a side effect of methotrexate? I’m trying to decide if I need to mention this to my doctor or if it’s really just another symptom of R.A. Thanks for your help:)

Members overwhelmingly encouraged someone experiencing tingling feet to mention the symptom to their doctor, with the consensus being that any new or changing symptoms should always be reported, no matter how small they might seem. Several members shared their own experiences with similar sensations, noting that tingling can stem from RA itself, medications like methotrexate, or other overlapping conditions such as fibromyalgia or Parkinson's disease, with one member finding relief through chiropractic adjustments. A recurring theme was the importance of self-advocacy and open communication with medical teams, as doctors rely on this information to provide the best possible care and rule out other potential causes.

Mention it to your doctor anyway. I get tingling in my feet off and on. Most recent was after surgery to put in a plate and screws for broken femur. Chiropractic adjustments greatly help!
