Thanks everyone. I was not sure if it was caused by the arthritis or something else. I work four hours per day and am walking or standing and holding infants the whole time. It started when I was on Xeljanz. I have been of it since the third week in May but still have swollen calf’s. I have bad pain in knees, ankles/feet and hips.
My ankles and lower calves are usually swollen every evening. I try to elevate them for some relief.
my left calf and foot are swollen, it gets worse if I eat something salty.
@A myRAteam Member, my rheumy had them biopsied. Just peripheral edema and I am pretty well convinced when mine were the worst, it was related to the DMARDS I was taking at the time. I live in Georgia where it is 90+ degrees with high humidity all summer every year and I am on my feet most of the day. Since I was switched to Humira, the swelling is not as bad. I try to take my shoes off an elevate them as soon as I get home.
No I don’t , swollen wrists knees, but not my calves. Hope you soon, get a reply, I am sure there will be. Someone on the website that has, had swollen calves blessed day jenny x
