Sometimes I feel like I can't think clearly or concentrate and I get very angry over every little thing. I usually end up getting so frustrated I have a meltdown. Sometimes I think I'm going crazy. Hopefully it's not just me!

Members overwhelmingly validated the experience of brain fog and irritability, sharing that forgetting names, misplacing keys, struggling with simple tasks, and feeling mentally scattered are common challenges with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Several members described practical coping strategies like keeping lists for everything, installing key safes to prevent lockouts, and double-checking essentials before leaving the car, while some found relief through biologic medications that reduced their cognitive symptoms. A recurring theme was the importance of accepting these changes with self-compassion, recognizing that stress and pain can intensify brain fog, and seeking support from understanding doctors and community members who truly get it.

I keep lists all the time or I forget things. No shopping for me unless I have a list with me. So yes, it is normal. I always double check that I have my keys in hand or in my purse before I shut my car door too> LOL.

Most everyone suffers from it who has RA. The only meds that got rid of mine was biologics.

Yes, I get it. I remember cuddling my only grandson and realised I couldn’t remember his name. I was mortified, thought I was going mad.

Also, at work, I work with about 20 other people, I always forget their names, it is quite embarrassing really as I have known them all for over 2 years.

my meds are Enbrel and methotrexate. I need to find out about the CBD stuff. My daughter bought it for me . I need to check with my doc about it . I worry because it seems the regular rh doc just wants tradition meds precribed

omg, I had a meltdown this past Monday. Brain fog reared its ugly head (my first experience with it). I could not do my paper work at my job. I could not do my time sheet which was simple math.I did also notice leading up to all this it seems like it was progressive and than boom. I was home when it happened. I was having my worst body flair up ever.It was like my body was exploading. Everything was hurting and I was so frustrated because 2 weeks ago I saw my rh doc and he was thrilled at how good my blood work was and then my meltdown .This has been a very bad week.To be honest I cant even tell what is what anymore. Is it the rh fibro or both. My depression level isn't good. I see my primary doc tomorrow.I am so mixed up and my brain is definitely in a fog.I honestly do think my stress level is off the charts. Ill post how my appointment with my primary doc goes.So sorry to go on like this but I am worn out confused depressed and more. hugs everyone. and I think I found this group at a good time
