I have had jaw issues with my RA. I had a lot of jaw pain and was biting my cheek on a regular basis and it was so painful. I spoke to my dentist and he referred me to a specialist in TMJ. He had a nightguard mouth piece made for me and suggested a special type of physical therapy for the issue. I never did go to PT because the nightguard seemed to take care of my issue. I hope you get relief.

I am currently in the middle of my 3rd year of wearing braces once again. I had braces and TMJ in high school but jone was RA related. Now at the young age of 44 (I was born w/JRA in 1975), I noticed a few years back that my smile was not looking like my smile anymore. So after xrays and exam from the son of my original orthodontist who put my 1st round of braces on from many many years ago (1993 lol). I found out that my JRA had spread to both sides of my jaw and was eating my jaw to the point of making my smile turn under. I never experienced any pain in my jaw on either side. So after a very painful but quick recovery from gum surgery and having to pull a tooth to make room for other teeth, I am happy to report after 3yrs with braces, my smile is back!!! Now i only have another 4yrs to go!! I hope I helped answer your curiosity?

Yes I have it too, but it comes and goes. Usually lasts a couple of days and then it goes away.

My jaws snaps sometimes & I do have dental issues. I was told it's a part of the disease process.

So RA does effect your jaws and teeth?
I just thought it was my sinuses...... I heard the other day that leflunomide causes sinus issues or enhances them..... I'm thinking if that's is so why would the doctor prescribe that to me?
I think I will start another list for my next Rheumatologist visit ๐Ÿ˜ฎ.
Praying for a cure....๐Ÿ™
