My daughter is breastfeeding, so she cannot take a lot of drugs. She has had a sinus infection on and off for months, mostly because Bean is in daycare now. She mentioned she is taking eldebery syrup, and that it is good for the immune system. Since all of us with RA have a shot immune system, I thought it would be worth a try.
Anyone take it? Positive results?
Hmmm...when I lived in Canada, I took elderberry tablets when I felt like I was getting a cold and they always seemed to work. And no side effects.

But I googled it and read on web MD the following: "Autoimmune diseases" such as multiple sclerosis (MS), lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, SLE), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), or other conditions: Elderberry might cause the immune system to become more active, and this could increase the symptoms of autoimmune diseases. If you have one of these conditions, it's best to avoid using elderberry.
