Has anyone tried plasma exchange for RA? Also stem cell therapy? If so, did it help or work at all? And where did you go to get this treatment? Thank you for any info!

Yes insurance doesn't pay, and its very expensive, so wanted to know if anyone has done it and if worth it. Couple friends have done it on their knees with great success. It says it can help autoimmune with some success, but unless its 90% success I'm not willing to pay that much, but maybe in the future insurance will pay hopefully. Was hoping someone on here had more info. Thx everyone and hugs!!

There’s a doctor here in Kentucky that does the stem cell. My husband and I use to go to him, my daughter still does, but we didn’t have the stem cell therapy. Patches your right Insurance doesn’t pay for it.

Sorry, I have not either. I do know that insurance does not cover Stem cell. I had no idea that Plasma exchange would do anything. I have a RA appointment coming up in February. I will try to remember to ask. Hugs.
