It took months for me to feel different. Doesn't take away the pain it lessens but still around. I take a pain pill for the aches and two meloxicam every morning. Occasionally I take a week of prednisone if the flare is bad. Humiras purpose is to slow down the progression of our disease.

About 3 to 4 weeks.

I actually was a lucky one and saw slight improvement the same day that I took my first injection. I mainly noticed my hands didn’t hurt as much to move around and I could make fists with both hands which was very painful before. (Trigger finger was strong in both middle fingers). I have had three injections total so far and am still noticing improvements. I do take prednisone 5mg every other day but I am almost out of that prescription and I do not believe my rheumy will refill it. Be patient, as frustrating as that can be. I am so grateful to have started humira when I did.

I started Humira 2 months ago. My rheumy said it can take up to 6 months for it to come to full efficacy, though some people can start feeling the effects within 2-3 months. For me, it has already made a huge difference in some of my symptoms and a smaller difference in others, although that may be a combination of the Humira and the Plaquenil, which I've been on for 3 months so that is now coming into it's full efficacy period. It can be difficult to tell sometime with the overlapping medications ...

Yeah, if I miss my Enbrel I will have flare ups!!! Humira didn't help me at all.
