According to my doctor I have decreased inflammation but I still suffer from pain in my joints and bones. Also, I seem to have lost my brain! It has greatly effected my job. I have days when I have to do something that I have done over and over but I will get ready to do it again and not remember what I’m supposed to do. I sit there and look at it like it’s a new thing that I haven’t done before. It’s scary to say the least!

Members connected over the frustration of experiencing persistent bone and joint pain even when inflammation markers appear reduced, with many sharing that doctors often attribute unexplained pain to fibromyalgia rather than acknowledging it as part of their rheumatoid arthritis. Several members described brain fog as a significant and frightening symptom, sharing stories of forgetting everyday tasks like door codes or being unable to find simple words, with some finding that pain intensity directly worsens their cognitive struggles. A recurring theme was the sense of not being fully believed by medical providers, the emotional toll of invisible symptoms, and the supportive understanding that comes from others who truly get what living with both pain and brain fog feels like.

Brain fog for me is directly linked to pain and inflammation. The height the pain, the more I have to struggle to think.

I sometimes have deep bone pain without swelling. That is usually when I know my Biologic has ran its course and I will have no new relief u til I can take another shot.

Fibro fog is real! Took me 3 minutes to get the word "damage" out on previous post just now! I just gotta laugh so I don't cry! ;-)

I have R.A. And they still try to say it’s fibro or another cause other than that R.A. With levels of inflammation in my blood work. It’s because I don’t look visibly swollen like some other people do. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes! I have such deep muscle and bone pain. My dr says it’s fibromyalgia. Why she won’t admit is RA I have no idea! I told her I have such bad brain fog and she says the same thing, fibromyalgia. My whole body feels swollen inside. I don’t know what to do either. ((Hugs)) to you!

That I believe is what they call brain fog. I get that too, some days are worst than others. Common complaint with RA. Sorry you are experiencing this too.
