I am mostly freezing cold, but then all of a sudden, out of nowhere I’m hit with feeling of being so hot internally for a few minutes, then back to cold. But of course I also have the night sweats. And continual pain. I have RA, fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis. Can’t fiugure out what’s causing it.

I do it horribly when my vitamin D bottoms out. Along with same symptoms as thyroid problems. It's a total mess and yes it crazy. Endocrine Dr .times 2 just says yes you need meds but just not yet. Pooye on them all.Now I have nodes on my thyroid , inflammation in my lungs. Hoarse and raw feeling from my throat to sternum.... Being all this said there is another autoimmune suppression d's. Heritetary called Granumatous....RA can flare this. They don't ever say much about this one. I just tested positive. Hope you get better .
Without knowing your age (it's possible it's normal & hormone related i.e. menopause) but Maca root was recommended to me with very high success rate in controlling up and down temperature changes. I have not personally tried it but wanted to offer a suggestion! :)
I get really cold almost every night and I have the chills. I cover up and am still cold. I often fall asleep and wake up feeling normal again. Also, almost every night around 2 or 3 in the morning, I wake up really hot inside. I will not feel hot to the touch, but inside I'm HOT and my head is sweating. I do wear a knit hat because it helps the cold issue. I talked to my Nurse Practitioner about this and she said to make sure I'm drinking enough water. I think that means that she does not have any idea of what is going on with me. I think my inner thermostat is broken. I had a doctor tell me that it was part of neuropathy. He said he has had patients that are cold on one side and hot on the other side of their body at the same time. In short.............there is no answer.
Nichole. I seem to have your problem, cold and hot at different times.
