I use Voltaren gel on my joints, are you sure it comes in pill form?
@A myRAteam Member. It can’t hurt to ask and get her/his opinion. What I take is Dicllofenac potassium 50 mg the pharmaceutical name but it’s Voltaren Rapide. There’s another diclofenac sodium. I don’t think it’s expensive but I have coverage so not sure how much it is. I googled it and all they show is 100mg can’t seem to find 50 mg but I’m in Canada so that might be the difference. Good luck. Keep me updated on what your doctor said or if you do try it let me know if it works for you. Again good luck 🍀
Yes it’s original form was a pill form in the market at least 15 if not 20 yrs It’s called diclofenac (I think that’s how you spell the pharmaceutical name. Is a non steroid NSAID. It works great for inflammation but it’s hard in the stomach so you have to take with food. I started taking it then stopped for awhile and tried all the new ones that were supposed to be easier on your stomach like Vimovo but didn’t work as well so went back to voltaren. If you read the emu gel you’ll see that diclenofec is the main pain reliever. I take 50 mg faithfully a day. So if you have a lot of inflammation you should try it. Actually it might be around for longer than that. I worked with a girl who took them when she had a really bad hangover and she said they got rid of her headache and aches and pains from the hangover. And it’s been a LONG time since we drank to that excess to need one for that too old to drink like that anymore. It’s prescription only so maybe ask your doctor the next time if he/she has samples or if you have coverage get a prescription for 30 days and give it a try. You may not like it but it works wonders for me Good luck
You can try cbd oil or balm it works great! Biofreeze or salon paas
That’s a tricky thing to answer especially since the gel carries stern instructions to ensure the residue on hands is not ingest. I recommend googling it and reading a trusted source.
Good morning all I just reviewed your comments on this post. It seems that some may not be understanding my post. I take the pill form of Voltaren not the rub. Just wanted to clarify that as it appears by some responses that your suggesting different topical rubs. I had suggested to @A myRAteam Member to ask her doctor about the “pill” form of Voltaren not the topical rub. And btw Shankabela what did your doctor say about the pill form of Voltaren not the rub. Maybe I should clarify and use the pharmaceutical name diclofenac and that would not confuse others. Voltaren is a trade mark name not the actual medication. It’s not for everyone and yes diclofenac is hard on your stomach but it works great for me once my stomach got used to it. I’ve taken for years. Anyway Shankabela let me know how you made out please. Here’s to a beautiful day hoping pain feee for all.
