Are Muscle Cramps Common With RA
I have always had a tendency towards cramps in my feet, but they are not on a regular basis. Within the last few months, I have been experiencing muscle cramps right below and above my left knee on the outside part of my leg. Any suggestions for relieving besides the muscle relaxers I am currently taking?
I have always seemed to have cramps in my feet but that’s what was different with the RA. The cramps were in my feet and on the outside of my legs from my ankle up my shinn! I had to get up and walk it out, I take magnesium and I use this pain relieving roll on called perform and message it where the cramps are. It really helps, you can find it at most drugstores.
And I have found that taking potassium ( get a prescription, because it will be better absorbed ) and magnesium together, once or twice a day (if I've been sweating a lot) willstop those cramps or "charlie horses" that are so excruciatingly painful. If potassium and magnesium are involved in the cure, then the cause must have something to do with fluid intake. Potassium and magnesium have been miraculous for me.
Sometimes muscle cramps are due to lack of water intake. Try drinking more water, see if that helps.
Sometimes I have the worst cramps in my ankles on the outside that run up my bone in my leg! It hurt so bad. I started taking magnesium, it has helped!
Magnesium has really helped my night time leg cramps.
