My rheumatoid factor is negative as well but my anti-ccp is extremely high which makes me sero positive for RA. I only have swelling occasionally and no heat. My symptoms are mostly pain and immobility. I was diagnosed after experiencing several bouts of severe pain with immobility in both wrists then both hips. This disease is so different for everyone. Infrared heating pads and sitting in my sauna help me the most.

This disease is so frustrating! I never swell and don’t have heat either. But I do have a lot of other symptoms. I tested positive for RA

I have RA , but my blood work always show negative for the RA factor. This is rare and makes a true diagnosis difficult. My Rheumatologist said a certain percent of people with RA test neg to RA factor. I do have swelling in my joints at times. But rarely have a lot of heat. I can't use ice for the swelling, I just can't stand it, makes me hurt more. I do use heating pads a lot.
