I am a surgical coordinator for an orthopaedic Group. Patient have called to ask about that and our surgeons don't think there are long-term outcome studies on the treatment. You should see if there is a doctor who does Prozolone or Ozone injections in the knee. They are safe, sterilize the joint and offer pain relief. Do a search for Ozone doctor .. maybe www.ozone.doc is the site, I cannot recall right now. They are not covered by insurance though and are about $250 for the first injection - sometimes discounted if you get more.
