Anthem declared gel knee injections medically unnecessary as of 12/1/2017. I have been told to have my provider file an appeal, but I am wondering if this is a waste of time.

@A myRAteam Member, Have your doc file an appeal!! My health plan tried to take me off of Orencia and a couple of other medicines, but my docs all knew exactly what to do and I had NO HICCUP AT ALL in staying on my medicine.
And I had good results from synvisc injections in my knees too.
SO DO HAVE YOUR DOCS FILE AN APPEAL!!

Thank you Madelyn. I am trying that and I posted a question to AskAnthem's Facebook page. They told me to email (Email address can only be seen by the question and answer creators) I received a call after I sent the email. The woman I spoke to has to get more information and will call me back. So, I guess I wait and see..
