One more thing, I was told by my dermatologist that people with auto immune diseases have weak skin. Meaning the littlest thing that never used to be an issue in the past, the sun or heat for example, will now cause rashes. That's why he recommended the CeraVe cream, it helps build back up the strength of your skin.

I ended up going to a dermatologist who took a biopsy of one of the bits of the rash from the back of my legs. It wasn't super scaly or anything, but he found a place to cut a chunk out. Anyway, two weeks later I went back and he said it was eczema and not Psoriasis. They gave me a cream to put on the spots 2x's a day, for two weeks in a row. Then I used CeraVe lotion, from any drugstore ($15) for a week and this horrid gooey cream again for two weeks. It did go away, but then came back in a vengeance in early June. I'm pretty sure stress and a weak immune system trigger it, but the bummer is that even once my stress level goes down, it's still there for WEEKS! Oh well, at this point I can't let it bring me down. It's on my upper arms (all the way around) and on my forearms, mostly on the back side you can't see as easily. Red spots that don't itch or anything, but are noticeable. Most adults don't say anything. Kids stare at it. I think people think it's contagious so when I notice someone see it and they can't stop staring I tell them it's not contagious so not to worry. I've been wearing light fabrics to try and hide it, but the recent heat wave made that impossible!

My mom read that if you mix tea tree oil with coconut oil and rub that on the spots it'll help them go away. Going to try that now and I'll let you know if it works. At least it'll be better than the ooey gooey cream I've been using and it'll smell nice. GOOD LUCK!

I'd be interested to know what you find. I have a red rash on my lower legs also. Not itchy or painful, just ugly! I'm not on Enbrel so that's not my cause. I thought heat rash but I suspect its immune-system related.

Me too! I have this wretched splotchiness on the back of my legs. Thought it was ringworm, but it's not. Stumped the girl at the CVS Minute Clinic and my PCP. PCP gave me a prescription cream, after a week it's not doing anything. Called my Rheumy and he doesn't think it's from the Enbrel I'm on, but more dermatological. So, I'm off to the Dermatologist. Going on vacation next week and so not wearing a bathing suit! I'll scare everyone! If I find out what it is, I'll let you know. Seems like a result of a flare up.
