Over the past few years and before my RA diagnosis, I've had eye problems. Terrible dryness, swelling, pain. Finally since the RA diagnosis some of it makes sense.

You can get some sjogren's with RA which is the dryness. My eye doc tells me that the tissue around our eyes can swell too, even if we don't notice it, but that can block your tear ducts and lead to all the other discomfort and pain. Also, it it's a sjogren's affect, you don't produce tears well enough to keep your eyes moist and clean.

I've found the best eyedrop; recommended by my eye doc; is Systane and I keep a bottle in my purse. Also helps to put hot cloths on eyes when you can. Hopefully something like that could help you.

DannyTaylor I did start using some artificial tears. It does feel good for so many minutes. I think I have to try a better brand. Do you also use drops for the redness? I did not want to put too many things in my eyes when I was not sure. Thank you

This started a few days ago. I hate to complain on here. I know so many of you are in much more pain. I did write to my doctor on my health chart. I have red lines on my eyes, the pressure on the right eye is troublesome. I was told I have Sjogren's syndrome. I have such blurry vision. These symptoms seem to be worse at night. I use moist heat compress, eye drops that help a little, try to sleep more, drink more water. Has anyone experienced this? It seems to be getting worse. I am on prednisone , HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE 200 MG, I also took a meloxicam for pain. It is hard to write on here. Just blurry. If anyone has any tips or advice that would be a great help. It is kind of freaking me out. I had these flare ups in the past. I hope you are all well and pain free.
