A lot of people mention feeling cold and/or not being able to maintain their body temperature. But does anyone have the opposite? I'm curious as to if my constant warm or over heating temperature could be due to my RA or Fibro or if it could be something different..

Members connected over the frustrating experience of constant overheating with RA and fibromyalgia, with many describing themselves as always hot and sweating profusely while everyone around them feels comfortable or even cold. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them manage the discomfort, including wearing portable neck fans that blow air upward toward the face, stepping outside in winter to cool down, and keeping a fan running at night to make sleep possible. A recurring theme was the unpredictability of temperature regulation, with some members experiencing sudden switches between being overheated and freezing, others noting that RA flares can cause slight fevers, and many ruling out menopause or thyroid issues as the sole cause while still searching for answers and relief.

@A myRAteam Member, hallelujah. I have the same problem! I thought I was the only one. I know its not menopause as I am on HRT. It's not my thyroid because I have had that problem for many years before the RA. I just overheat and sweat buckets at the drop of a hat! Most unpleasant! Anyone find anything to help?

I don't have the answer but a light bulb will make me sweat. Maybe it's my thyroid

During an RA flare , you usually run a slight fever, that maybe why you sometimes feel hot.

I have the same problem! I'm always hot. Everyone around me are cold and I'm in a pool of Sweat! It's embarrassing to go anywhere. I will have to go sit on my back porch in the middle of the winter just to cool myself down while everyone else are just right in the house
