Members shared their experiences with knees suddenly giving out, describing how these episodes happen without warning, often leading to falls or near-falls, especially on stairs, and feeling embarrassed when it occurs in public. Several members noted that inflammation levels seem to play a role, with some finding that knees buckle less when inflammation is reduced, while others mentioned that humidity and weather can trigger episodes. A recurring theme was the unpredictable nature of RA, with members emphasizing the importance of humor, supportive friends, and accepting that there are no firm rules when living with this condition.

Yes, I have. The right knee just quits working, some days on stairs, other days when ever it needs to take a break. RA is crazy, I beginning to believe there are no rules. A sense of humor helps, and great friends to lend a hand.

Yes my friend, mine is just worse after the infusion... I fall on a regular basis and my hands get numb... No indicator, I can be standing one moment and on the floor the next! Gravity checks?
