I get terrible acid reflux and take the generic Prevacid daily for it. It helps a lot.

Here is how I got my acid reflux under total control, almost instantly. I gave up, in a single day, coffee (I was drinking 5-6 cups a day), Diet Coke (I was drinking at least 6 a day) and alcohol (to self medicate, late at night, at least 2). I did cut down on chili peppers and so on but those 3 things were mentioned most often as culprits. My family as shocked I could just stop all of these things. Once I saw the endoscopy of my esophagus and it looked like rusty, corroded pipe, I knew I had to do something fast as that leads to esophageal cancer. Now six years later, I feel it has mostly healed. I rarely get AR now and it’s not nearly as bad as it once was. My singing voice is also coming back.

Yes, I did. I used to sing somewhat well. The reflux made my voice just awful. I could always sing in tune and the reflux caused my voice to crack and be unable to control the actual notes. It has gotten better since I have gotten my reflux under control.

I get reflux bad and my doctor prescribed Pantoprazole for me. Hope you are feeling better soon.

yes acid reflex occasionally and dry voice. Have to clear my throat to talk lots of days. it's annoying, righ?
