I was only diagnosed in July and have been taking Hydoxychloroquinine sine then but I just cannot get over why my ankle is still so swollen. It does vary throughout the day, and on the few days when the swelling isn't too bad, my foot/ankle actually hurts quite a lot. My ankles still swell. But my ankles at one time where swollen and painful every day for a long time. I don't remember exactly how long but it was months. You should ask your Doctor about it. If you call and let him know he will tell you if you need to be seen sooner. Whenever you feel uncomfortable with something, you should be able to call your Doctor or text your Doctor and ask. Hope you feel better soon. Keep your feet up as often as you can. That should help, and soak them in Epson Salt.
